Why You Shouldn’t Ignore an Ant Problem

The temperatures are rising and soon the rain will come to give us some nice spring showers. As you start spring cleaning, keep a few things in mind to be proactive instead of reactive to other pests wanting to enjoy the nice weather.

Picnics are a wonderful way to enjoy the breeze. However, ants are also looking to bring food back to their colony. If you do eat outside, make sure you keep food in resealable containers. Contain and clean any spills or crumbs so that there’s nothing left for them to poke at later.

Of course, eating outside isn’t the only way ants can bother you. Even if there’s a small crack in a window or door, if there’s food that they can smell inside, they’ll find their way in. Make sure all of your doors and windows are sealed properly. Don’t let dishes pile in the sink; any dishes should be rinsed off at the very least.

If you do find ants in your home, don’t panic. While an irritant, ants can be dealt with.
