Rodent Season Is Here

It’s finally the end of the year! That means more holiday festivities, travel, plenty of food, gift giving, and preparing for the next year. With everything to juggle, it can be easy to forget one of the most important parts of your yearly routine: Keeping your home safe from pests and other critters.

It doesn’t take much to get a furry critter in your home. Mice can squeeze through a hole as small as a dime. So, even if you have a small crack under your door, it’s possible for them to get inside. Vents, siding, and windows are other ways they can get inside.

There are some preventative measures you can take to make sure that doesn’t happen! Make sure you keep all food items in containers. This includes pantry items and any pet food. That will attract both pests and insects. If you have any outdoor food for animals, clean it up or put it away as soon as you’re done with it. Keep wood away from the house to prevent rodents from nestling inside of it to stay warm. The cleaner and less cluttered your home, the better.

Even with preventative measures, pests can still get in from time to time, unfortunately. That’s where ABBS PC comes in! We have a service we provide for exclusion purposes. Our technician will come out and look around your home for all the potential areas that pests can get inside. From there, they’ll help you make a plan for covering all the areas rodents can get in. Call today for an inspection and get some peace of mind this holiday season.
